Jason Oakley is a seasoned financial services leader with over 40 years of experience in banking and investment. His career spans launching, scaling, and steering successful businesses across diverse markets, always with a focus on innovation, agility, and purpose-driven growth.

As CEO of Afin Bank, Jason leads a dynamic and diverse team united by a shared mission to redefine value in financial services. Under his leadership, Afin Bank has received its full banking licence and regulatory approval. He is solely focused on driving a clear vision to create a more inclusive and forward-thinking financial future.

Throughout his career, Jason has been passionate about building high-performing teams and creating the right conditions for people and ideas to thrive. He combines strategic vision with entrepreneurial drive, helping businesses navigate change and unlock new opportunities.
Jason holds an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School and a Fintech Disruption Certificate from Cambridge Judge Business School, among other professional finance qualifications. He remains committed to fostering trust, innovation, and impact at every stage of the customer and colleague journey.

Helen Walsh

Helen brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in marketing, customer acquisition, and commercial growth.

Joining Afin Bank before its launch, Helen played a key role in building the brand from inception – developing the go-live marketing strategy that introduced Afin to the market and connected its vision with brokers, customers, and communities.

As Marketing Director, she leads all of Afin’s marketing activity across digital, broker, and direct channels. She leverages data-driven insight and creative strategy to shape Afin’s marketing direction, brand presence, and product communications, ensuring alignment with customer needs and the bank’s growth ambitions.

With previous senior roles at Together Finance, Aldermore Bank, and Premierline Direct, Helen brings deep expertise in mortgage and financial services marketing. She is passionate about making financial services more accessible and about helping customers who might otherwise struggle to secure a mortgage and get the support they need and deserve.
